Chrysler Repair: why car will not start, chrysler lebaron, 1991 chrysler lebaron

Question
will not stay running;1991 chrysler lebaron v-6 car started and then quit starts remotely, understand car has some sort of alarm system, car has set a few days, new gas etc.

Answer
The remote start feature is part of a security system that will cause the engine to shut down if the system has not been properly disarmed first. If you don't understand this system and have no written material about it this will be troublesome. The system should disarm if you either use the key to open the door or the remote to open the door. You may have do to either of those before you start the car or it will shut itself off. If you want to avoid the system being armed, just use the mechanical lock buttons when you leave the car rather than using the electrical locks or the door key locks.
Is the remote a Chrysler brand device? It would simplify this if the system were indeed all factory parts.
I can send you some pages that describe the system and how to troubleshoot it. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner so I have to xerox and postal mail it to you. So let me know if you want me to mail it and where to mail it to.
