Question -
90 New Yorker suddenly lost power to elect windows, air bag, and heater/AC. Checked all the fuses and relays I could find. This car is a Landau model.
Answer -
Hi Gary,
I need a little more info. While I don't have the wiring diagram for the '90 New Yorker Landau I do have it for the '91 and I think that I can figure out why you are having this problem. But it would be helpful to know which engine you have. And also, did you check the fuses in the power distribution center in the engine compartement and the fuses in the fuse block in the cabin?
Thanks for responding.
Roland

Answer
Hi Gary,
That 50 amp fuse should be the middle one of 5 in the more central row of fuses. Even though the fuse may look good, examine it carefully because over time with heating and cooling the conductor can develop a hairline crack. You could test it with an ohmmeter or substitute a new one just to make sure.
