Chrysler Repair: battery on sebring, chrysler cars, cable lengths

I cannot find and remove the battery to change it on my sebring convertible 96. Do you know how to get it out and replace it ?

Hi Ed,
I am not familiar with the Sebring's battery location but it mas been typical for the Chrysler cars to locate the battery in the engine compartment, just behind the driver's side headlamp assembly (in the front left corner of the engine compartment). I believe too that the power distribution center (a large box that contains the relays and larger fuses) is in that location, and in order to minimize cable lengths I believe the battery should be nearby (perhaps under the power distribution center). One possibility is to look for a very large cross-section red wire that goes to the starter motor because that wire comes directly from the battery and thus you could follow that wire back to find the battery. When you find it, let me know so I will learn too!
