Hi Roland, the shop says that there is something that is draining the battery completely while sitting overnight, and they say they can't figure out the reason why.
The only reason I'm not suspicious is because they have only charged me for the one time they did the diagnostic test.  Not for every time they try and work on it, because they can't seem to fix it...
what do you think?

Answer
Hi Billieann,
As long as you aren't letting them run up a bill I guess you are only losing the "use" of the car, but if it discharges at home overnight that won't be a practical situation unless you have a battery charger.
How old is the battery and have they tested whether it discharges overnight when disconnected from the car? which would be the true test of the battery vs. the car as to the source of this issue. But do they say that there is no sign of any excess current being drawn out of the battery when everything is supposed to be shut off? If so I can't see how the car could be responsible for discharging the battery. At some point, you may need to just go to another shop. But somehow I can't believe this is rocket science.
