Chrysler Repair: Starter location on 98 Town and Country?, block seam, electrical motor

Question
Do you know where the starter is located on a 1998 crysler town and country mini-van by chance?  Thank you!

Answer
Hi Richard,
It is likely that the starter motor is on the side of the engine that is closest to the firewall, and its 'business' end (gear that drives the flywheel/torque plate) would be approximately at the seam between the engine and the transmission, while the body (electrical motor) of the starter is on the passenger side of that seam. It would be above the oil pan/block seam, but below the head-block seam. Chrysler usually uses a thick red color wire to run from the + post of the battery to the solenoid that is located on the body of the starter motor. So if you trace that red wire it will take you right to it.
