Chrysler Repair: 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger, dodge dart swinger, rear wheel drive

Dear Sir: I have a 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger with a 318ci in it and the standard 2bbl. The car has 67,260 original miles on it. It has been carefully maintained as far as I know.  Can I upgrade the engine with a 4bbl carb? And if so do you know how and where? Thanks, Robert.

Hi Robert,
Sorry to say that I don't have experience with the rear wheel drive Dodges from the '70s. I believe though that there are manuals about increasing the HP of these engines. And there is a website, www.dodgedriver.com that has vendors and individuals that sell engine upgrade kits. So check that out and search the "engines" tab on the left side of the home page.
