Hi Mike,
You have me on this one. I only recall a few '42 cars were made and then none till maybe '46. I would suggest checking with a vintage chrysler car club of some sort maybe on Yahoo, or check a publication called Hemmings Motor News.
Chrysler Corp headquarters may have a historian who can verify this issue.

I would just do a Google search under Daimler-Chrysler Corp.
By the way, I just found an interesting set of historic Chrysler car manuals on eBay (41,42,46-48) and no 43. Here is the eBay number 7924159877. You might want to look at that manual and perhaps buy it. Maybe you might have a '42 that wasn't sold and registered until '43?
