Chrysler Repair: Steering gear replacement, plymouth voyager, intermediate shaft

I own a 92 plymouth voyager.I am having problems figuring out what they mean in the manual when they say I need to remove the"pinch bolt" from the u-joint where it connects to the intermediate shaft on the steering column. The only thing I can find is a round pin which connects the u-joint to the spline coming from the steering gear. That seems wrong because in the manual they say that the u-joint stays with the steering gear
