Chrysler Repair: timing belt, liter engine, timing chain

i have a 95 intrepid with a 3.3 liter engine and i have been told there is no timing belt in this engine. could you please tell me if there is or not? if so, how often should it be changed? thank you very much.

Hi Scott,
Because I have no direct experience with this engine I sought out a helpful site: www.allpar.com and looked at the "engines" category. There I found that the 3.3L is a design that uses a timing chain rather than a timing belt, and from my knowledge with such chains I would agree that it really has no specific life expectancy and so doesn't need to be routinely changed. It will likely last the life of the engine.
