Chrysler Repair: auto repair, timming belt, ac alternator


Question
i do some auto repairing on the family vehichles i need to put a water pump in my daughters 1988chrysler labaron. the engine i think is 2.5, i cant find a number it. the engine sits back, like i open the hood and everything is lined up from left to right. i want to know how difficult it would be for me to do this myself, i do everyting on her car from changeing brake pads to oil changes to interior lights. please tell me if i can do this, i cant find a picture to show me what to do or where it is,. but to save money i need to do this myself.

The way i do this ,is remve the upper timming belt cover
put the car on the lift,remove
lower engine splash shield,crankshaft pully,water pump pully,lower timming belt cover.Then all you have to do
is remove the pump from the housing.but,if you cant get to it from the bottom,place floor jack under oil pan for support,remove;a/c compressor,alternator .front engine mount
ac/alternator bracket,now you have access to pump housing.
I would hate to do that job in my yard ! all ways disconnect
the battery before repairs. the 8th.# in the vin will be the engine size and design, have a good day
