Chrysler Repair: How to remove external trans lines on a Jeep Cherokee, chinese fingers, jeep cherokee

Question
T.M., my son crushed one of the trans lines and it needs to be replaced. I bought a quick disconnect tool for the job but don't know how it works. Can you explain how to use the tool? Do I expand the tool once it's on the tube and slid into the two tabs? Do I pinch the outside of the tabs and squeeze together? I think having Chinese fingers would help but I'm stuck with big mits.

Any help you could offer would be appreciated.

Steve

Answer
look at the new part and see if that helps. On most lines
you push the tool in and pull !!on others i have had to replace the whole thing but,I would go by a local trans shop and ask one of the guys with oil on his shirt. He would know more about that than me ,sorry, not much help here
