Classic/Antique Car Repair: stops running

my son in TX has a 1996 jeep and because I live in AZ to many miles away I cant help him on this one..his jeep he says just stops running and happens at stop lights and etc..it takes him sometimes 10 or more times he said to start it again..other than that I got no more info. is it filters, pumpS,elect or etc??..I had to buy this for him this past yr and I put 4k already in this junk..i'm not only broke now but had it with this thing.CAN YOU GIVE ME A IDEA WHERE TO START SO IT DONT COST ME ANOTHER 3K I DONT GOT?...THANKS

I'm sorry, but I know model A's , and not jeeps after I retired from chrysler.   I left there at the end of 1991. They do have diagnostic codes that should tell you what the problem is. Get it to someone who has the tool to read the codes. There are all kinds of things that will cause a shut down. Too many sensors to guess what it might be. Something might be getting hot. Could be the injectors. Could even be the fuel pump. It does sound like fuel and not spark.  Find a low cost shop who can help. Sorry I can't help. Jack
