Answer
Ok, we should be able to figure this problem out but I will need a lot more information. This old girl had drum brakes all the way around when it left the factory floor. 11 inch on the rear and 12 inch on the front. It also had no power booster and the master cylinder was located under the front floor and the pedals were pivoted under the floor and came up through the floor boards. The master cylinder was a single cylinder and there was no proportioning valve in the system. Now since you have now disc brakes on the front how much of the rest of the system is stock and how much has been altered? Did you buy the car with the modifications already done or did you do the modifications? If you know what application did the calipers originally fit? Was the front suspension changed to accommodate the caliper mounting or was welding done to attach the caliper mounting points? What was the original application of the rotors or are they hot rod application? What size wheels and tire do you have on the car? Are you running the stock full wheel covers? This could be restricting the air flow to the calipers glazing the pads and causing noise. What are you running for pads? Some of the ceramic and metallic pads giving great braking are just plain noisy. Get back to me and we will play Sherlock and solve the puzzle.
