Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1928 A Model Ford, Videos

Question
we had one when I was a little kid and I would like to know if it had a gravity fed fuel tank? Would it have been always been crank started? What is the difference between a cold start and a hot start. Could I please use your answers in the book I'm writing. It's a travel memoir of the Darling River in New South Wales, and includes my early days, particularly in the A Model.
Thank you,
tony

Answer
Sure, use whatever you want.  It still has a gravity feed fuel system and I just put a video on youtube showing how to start the A.  Go to oakleafregion.org and look at the many videos that are there showing the A's and some of the tours we have been on.  Click on "links" and there are 11 videos there.
All A's had an electric start system.  A crank came with them, but was seldom used.  The later T's also had a starter.  Cold start we use the choke, but when it is a warm engine, no choke.  My video shows that.
Tony have fun with that book.  I wrote a few and used the booksmart software by blurb.com  Great software and fun to use.  Go to blurb.com and look at them.  The one on the A is open for a full preview.  The blurb deal is free until you publish a single book, then you only pay for how many you get.  They are very cheap.  I did a small one and they cost less than $5 a copy.
