Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1930 Model A engine frozen, hand crank, model a ford

Question
I have a 1930 Model A Ford that has not been started for about 10 years. It was running fine when last started. It has been garaged that entire time. I am trying to get it running again, but found I cannot get the motor to turn using the hand crank.  Is there any way short of an engine overhaul to free it up? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Answer
Hi Rick:
The safest thing to do to protect the engine is tear in apart.
Was all the fluids removed when she was put up? If so, that's good.
If she was not in a climate controlled environment for the past 10 years,
moisture may have created rust residue around the pistons. You could try
removing the spark plugs and spraying WD-40 into each cylinder head to lubricate
the pistons and valves. Also make sure you have fresh oil in her as well.
