Classic/Antique Car Repair: engine problem, starter solenoid, good luck jack

im trying to start my 66 chevelle up but the engine wont turnover. everytime i turn the key, the engine makes a clicking noise and very once in a while it will sound like it almost wants to but then it dont.Any suggestions?

The old clicking solenoid problem. That is probably your starter solenoid. Causes:  low battery, loose battery connections, bad solenoid. Tighten all connections, charge the batt., make sure the batt. Is good, then have a mechanic check the solenoid.
