Classic/Antique Car Repair: 65 Chevelle 283 cid, alternator output, radiator core

Question
Brad, a couple of days ago you answered my question about the yellow wire coming out of the positive battery cable. You stated that it should be hooked to the positive connection on the alternator. The wire is about a foot long and the alternator is on the other side of the engine so it cannot go there. As you speculated there may have been some rewiring done. It is a live wire. The battery is brand new but power is dead right now. Where could that possibly be hooked up to to give the car power. There just does not seem to be a whole lot around the engine in a one foot range to hook it up to Help!!! and thanks in advance

Answer
Well, I blew this one and please excuse me. I should have looked at the wiring diagram for the car before answering. That wire connects to the horn relay junction box located on the fender inner panel or radiator core supports. My Pontiac of the same vintage and body shell connects to the alternator output terminal. I apologize for the mix up and thanks for getting back to me and trusting me for a second bite at the apple.
