Classic/Antique Car Repair: brake pressure, reservior, e bay

hey brad,
i own a 66 gt fstback.i havent started or driven in aprox 2mth.
i started it this weekend and as i was backing out of my driveway i realized that i had no brke pressure and coudnt stop.i did not see a puddle of fluid and am not sure what the problem is. is it possible any seals have dried up? iam new to this and am not sure where to start.iwas unsure how to open the reservior and did noy want to damage anything.also is there a repair manual i can purchase to get my way around any other possible issues? i appreciate any help you can offer.thanks so much

The brake problem sounds like a failed master cylinder. As to a book, check out E Bay and search for Motor's Auto Repair Manual. I would suggest a 1967 dated book as the information for the 1966 model will be more extensive. You should be able to get a book in the $10 or $15 range plus postage. Ask the seller to ship it Media mail, it will save you money.
