Classic/Antique Car Repair: 56 chevy, 4sale by owner, hemmings motor news

i'm interested in a 56 chevy bel air,4sale by owner.i'm not as savvy yet about cars so what are some questions i need to ask about this car?  
asking 15,000. is this too much?
what can i expect to pay for auto insurance?

Your insurance premiums will depend a lot on the state that you live in so I cannot answer that one. Before you purchase a car at that kind of money I would hire a professional to do a pre sale inspection on the car. I offer that service in New England in the summer and Florida in the winter. And believe me over the years I have seen some real nice cars and some real junk. There is a list of Appraisers and people that do pre sale listed in Hemmings Motor news, www.hemmings.com. Locate one near you. Two or three hundred dollars is a cheap price to sale thousands in expenses fixing up a dog later.
