Answer
I do appreciate you asking me a question, however that is NOT in my area expertise.

Hello Mark,

I have volunteered to answer questions that relate to “Automotive Wooden Interior Trim”.

Specifically the “Real” wood trim parts found in vehicles like your Rolls-Royce Ghost and Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Bentleys, BMWs, Jensen Healeys, Austin Healeys, Triumphs - etc. etc. etc.  So, if you want to discuss your interior wood trim, we can do that.

Although I cannot expertly answer your mechanical question, I can refer you to a few folks who could help.

All of them have spent decades in the Rolls-Royce / Bentley "world"........

The first is Mike Fennel owner of Mike Fennel Enterprises. He has a tremendous facility, an expert staff and they restore vintage classics like yours.  If there is anyone that I know of, that YOU should know about - especially owning a 20/25, it is Mike.  He should be able to answer your question for you...or point you in the right direction for the information - OR do any work you may need to have done on your "baby".  Call and talk to Mike at 818-367-6151

The second would be Tony Handler owner of Tony Handler.com.  Tony does not do mechanical work or restorations....his business is in used Rolls and Bently parts.  He may not be able to answer your question....but he should be able to suggest some folks to go to - or he may even have original records or service tech information that relates to your vehicle - IF anything like that was ever written down back then.  His website is www.tonyhandler.com  or Call him at (310) 473-7773

Another person you might want to try, is Charles Crail owner of Charles Crail Automobiles www.charlescrail.com  or Call him at (805) 568-1934  Charles, like the others, has spent a lifetime in Rolls/Bentley world.

Good luck, and let me know that you made some good connections !!

Now, back to my area of expertise, should you or any of your fellow automotive enthusiasts have interior wood trim in their vehicles....and IF that wood is having trouble.....I can help.

Thank you....and Happy Motoring,

Jeff

OH, and for what it is worth, I would think that you might want to search for a vintage or classic car club in your area, many folks in clubs are very helpful people and may be able to help you find your answer...making a friend or two in that "world" would be very helpful, especially if you are going to do mechanical work yourself.  Who knows, maybe one of those folks has the information you seek.

(I would appreciate you taking the time to Rate my response....thanks)
