Classic/Antique Car Repair: !967 Chevy Impala, starter solenoid, battery cables

Question
Hello,
This is probably and easy one for ya but for someone who knows very little on cars it's a bit tough.  I have a 1967 Chevy Impala that I've had for 4 years and have never had a problem till recently.  I tried to start her up and all I got were some ticks under the hood.  I thought it might be the battery so I pulled it out and charged it up and the same thing happens when I try and start the car. Tick tick tick tick tick.  Could it be the starter?

Answer
If the starter is clicking it usually indicates a weak battery or a bad connection in the battery cables at the battery or any other connection in either the pos or the ground cable. It it clicked only once when you turned the key on then it could be the starter solenoid.
