Subaru Repair: 2004 Forrester, rear wheel bearings, road noise

Question
After having the right rear wheel bearings replaced at 60k, the rear wheel noise
is back louder than ever with on 90k. Our driving habits include driving daily,
but with slow acceleration and easy speeds on average. Is this normal wear? My
mechanic says the part is quite expensive. The noise and road noise is so loud,
one can't speak to the passenger.

Answer
Hey Steve,

The Forester has had some right rear wheel bearing problems.

There is a revised wheel bearing and replacement process from Subaru.

The repair should be about $350.00 as long as the hub is ok.  Which doesn't seem to expensive to me, but everyone has a different value system.
