Classic/Antique Car Repair: new battery cable, chevy impala, electrical grounds

Question
I have a 1968 chevy impala and im trying to get it running.  I just got the new battery cable( the negative cable that hooks up to the car not the engine), where do I connect the side on the cable that doesn't go on the battery?

Answer
William:

The other end of the negative cable is bolted to the body, usually in the firewall area. While you're doing this, make certain that there is a braided cable bolted to the engine using one of the starter attachment bolts, and with the other end bolted to the body down low, in the transmission hump area.

You must have a continuous ground circuit, tied to the negative battery terminal, not just to the body (where many electrical grounds terminate), but also to the starter and thus the engine and frame.
