Classic/Antique Car Repair: Cleaning engine parts, acid dip, solvent cleaners

Question
Hello Vern. I seek your advise on cleaning auto parts of oil, carbon, sludge and rust. I have read in a magazine on how very dirty parts can be cleaned with an acid dip. What acid is recommended?

Answer
Hi Yahaya:
The old fashion gas, petroleum and solvent cleaners work, but are dangerous and not Eco-friendly. The best product made specially for this job is kbs. As a degreaser, a solvent will work. Try these two website for starters.
