Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1955 ford head liner, 1955 ford fairlane, headliner

I was reading your information on the instalation of headliner and found it very informative .I also have a 1955 ford fairlane fodor and am about to do the same , my question is regarding the Windshield and rear window .
Do they need to be removed to do the instalation ?

I seem to recall a chromed stamped molding covering the edges of the windshield and backlight. If my memory is correct, remove the moldings before beginning installation, then glue the headliner front and back per my directions and replace the molding to hide the headliner edges.
