Classic/Antique Car Repair: 68 4v 289 Mustang, armature, bushings

Question
My Mustang starts fine when the engine is cold, but if I turn the car off once the
engine is fully warmed, and then try to restart it right away, it has a REAL hard
time cranking over. Any thoughts as what to start looking at to fix this problem
would be helpful. Thanks

Answer
Two things come to mind here. First there could be wear on the inside of the starter. The bushings wear and allow the starter armature to bind, especially when the engine is hot. The other thing is to check all the connections to and from the battery. Corrosion in any connection will act like this. Check both the positive side and the ground.
