Classic/Antique Car Repair: Air Conditioning, pontiac bonneville, r134a

Morning, I was curious to know how much R134a to put in my 1979 Pontiac
Bonneville sedan. The motor is 301 V8 2 barrel. The air is now coming out warm
so I out in 10oz but it did not have any effect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Robert:
Most cars only require one or two pounds of refrigerant to be added. However, I assume you have converted your A/C system over to R134a and you are not using the old R12. You should never put R134a in a R12 system without converting it first. That will ruin the compressor.
