Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1979 Corvette, spark plug wires, spark plug

QUESTION: I have a 1979 Corvette, and the header keeps burning through spark plug wires. Do you have any suggestions for a brand of spark plug wires that would help, or maybe a header with more clearance?  Thanks

ANSWER: Are these the stock headers? What engine?

QUESTION: The engine is stock except for the addition of cams.  It has a 350.

Answer
If the engine is stock and has the stock headers then the factory equipped spark plug wires with the wire holders will prevent the wires from burning. If the headers are aftermarket then contact the header manufacturers and ask what they recommend.
