Classic/Antique Car Repair: 79 vette, spark plug wires, spark plug wire

I have a 1979 corvette and the header keeps burning through the spark plug wires.  Do you have any suggestions on a brand of spark plug wire that will help with the problem, or do you have any suggestions for changing the header.  Thank you.

Interesting problem you have. If the headers are chromed and are there for looks as well as performance improvements, your only option may be to wrap your plug wire with heat resistance insulation. There are several products on the market.

However, if your headers are not for looks, then wrap them as well. This will give you extra protection. Checkout websites below...
