Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1956 olds super holiday 88 front bumper, hemmings motor news, desert southwest

Question
mines got holes that are ugly as hell to look at
any one in particular you recommend for depenable service as well as good prices.

Answer
I can't recommend any particular chrome shop - they are all expensive, because the government regulations on them are very costly to meet, and most of them are having the work done off shore to avoid the hassles.

If you check in Hemmings Motor News, you will see many ads for chrome plating.  Pick one that is close enough to you that you can go there and show them your part, and ask them whether they can fix it or if you would be better off to get a different one from one of our wrecking yards out here in the desert southwest, where most of our bumpers are still pretty nice.  Look at the quality of work they turn out and make your own decision.

I live near San Diego, and I take my work to a local shop that has an arrangement with a plater south of the border - they do excellent work, but it is expensive.  I don't know any other solution to this problem, sorry.
