Could you please tell me how to install a speedometer cable on a 1964 1/2 Mustang please?

If you are relacing just the inner cable, diconnect under the dash and simply pull cable. Make sure the new one is exactly the same length.

If the cable is in two pieces or you are replacing housing too, you need to unscrew the cable collar at the tail of the transmission. Pass the smaller collar (usually upper end) through firewall gromett. It is not as important the length be exact if you replace outer housing too.
