Classic/Antique Car Repair: 403 timing, spark plug wire, 79 trans am

I had to put a new pick up coil in my 79 trans am and didn't make the rotor  so I'm not to sure how to get it back in time any of you help would be greatly apriciated

rotate your engine until your timing mark is dead on. Be aware this happen twice (once in compression and once onf exhaust) Then put the rotor pointing to number one spark plug wire and your good. If it backfires like hell, you are 180 off, just turn in over to the next time it hits the timing mark and put rotor at number one.
