Classic/Antique Car Repair: Older Ford repair tools., hemmings motor news, ford section

I recently purchased a 1954 Ford truck shop repair manual. I noticed in the repair illustrations they would show which special tool [ with it's part number ] to use for each particular repair. Is there an outlet available that you know of where I could purchase any of these older tools?

Roger, this is a tough one. Most of these tools were in the dealer required list and the dealers were forced to buy them each year to keep their franchise. In most cases they got tossed to the scrap man when the price of scrap iron went up. I have found most of there tools at swap meets and flee markets. You might try inserting a classified ad in Hemmings Motor News in the Ford section under Items Wanted and see what happens.  Good Luck
