Classic/Antique Car Repair: 77 Corvette starting issues, 77 corvette, starter solenoid

Question
I have a 1977 Corvette that recently did not start once parked after a 30 minute ride.  I let the car sit for a few hours and it started back up but once again I was unable to start after running.  The battery is fine.  I've checked all connections.  Experimented with trying to start with stearing column in different positions etc.

Is this type of issue indicative of a bad starter solenoid?  I'm not sure the issue is the starting seeing that once cool, it starts right up.

Answer
sounds like a starter issue... Next time this happens carry a long handled hammer or a tire iron with you.
IF it does it again... have some one tap firmly but not hard jo the starter.. If your car starts the the starter or the solenoid is bad. I would go to a 70's corvette site and ask the
same question.  I'm sure many of those guys have  had the  problem and will give you better info than I can Good luck and let mew know the outcome
