Classic/Antique Car Repair: headlamp switch, e mail address, flat screwdriver

Question
I entered the e-mail address incorrectly when I first asked about the removal of the switch, sorry for the inconvenience. I am still in need of advise about removing the switch from my 1964 Impala. thank you

Answer
To remove the stem and knob reach under dash and find a small spring loaded button, usually on the top on the light switch block. Push and hold button in and pull knob out.

Then with a large flat screwdriver and holding the switch block, unscrew the mounting collar from the front of the dash.
