Classic/Antique Car Repair: windshield, international pick up truck, glass shop
QuestionI bought a 1954 International pick up truck. It was restored about 10 years ago. I would like to replace the windshield the old one has a small crack. Do you have any ideas on who I could contact for this? I live in Florida......
AnswerIf memory serves me correctly, a 54 has the two small back glasses and the front is two separate angled panels of flat safety glass. It can be replaced by any glass shop that can cut safety glass, it need not be any actual windshield for that specific truck. Be sure and replace the rubber on both inside and out of the chrome strip in the middle of the windshields.
