Classic/Antique Car Repair: replaceing wires 1950 Chevy Deluxe Styline Car (216 Eng.), side terminal, chevy

Question
I disconnected the wires that run from my starter to the coil and coil to  distibutor, can you tell me where they go? thank you

Answer
I can't think of any wire that goes from the starter to the coil - are you sure about that?  There is a wire from the ignition switch to the "+" terminal on the coil, and there is another wire that goes from the (-) terminal on the coil to the distributor side terminal.  I don't know what other wires you are seeing - you'll have to see if you can figure out where they go from the length of them, and maybe the type of terminal on the end.

The only wires on the starter are the main power feeds to various items in the car, but there is no power to the coil unless the key is on, so the wire to the coil has to come from the ignition switch.

Post a "follow- up" message to me and I'll try to figure out what is going on, but I need more information.
