Dodge Repair: What kind of tires should I get?, dodge omni, rear tires

Question
Hi Pete,
I need your help buying tires.  I am getting ready to buy a new set of tires for my 1989 Dodge Omni.  The two rear tires that are on there now say P185R13 and the ones on the front say P165R13.  Shouldn't they all be the same?  Should I replace them with the same as are on there now or should I get 185s or 165s? If it could be either 185 or 165 what are some deciding factors?  Your advice will be appreciated.  I understand what the 13 stands for but the other numbers are a mystery to me.

Thanking you in advance,
Dianne
