Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1969 c10 trannie swap, auto linkage, drive shaft

Question
I have a 1969 c 10 long bed truck with a three speed on the tree,  I want to put a turbo 350 transmission on the floor.  Is this a very complicated task?  Drive line shortening etc.

HI-well you will have to get the mounts if yours do not fit, than a new bellhousing, and a starter as yours will most likely spin or strip the gears and the convertor changed and the pilot bearing changed and the auto linkage replaced than getting a drive shaft cut to make one end fit the tranny and the other end fit the rear will be the best and easiest way to go but ** you MUST have the drive cut and made / welded by a good shop that does that work. or you will have a hell of a lot of trouble. you will have to remove the old stuff from the column and clutch mount and fork, etc. as long as you have all of the old parts you should have no trouble only a lot of little labor I would have the tranny  cleaned out first and checked prior to installing it.
