i have a 1955 ford pickup truck. i recently converted it to a 12 volt from a 6 volt. but now im having trouble hooking the altinator back up. how do you do it.

I would say that you would run the fat wire to 12v and the  other wires to the two out lets on the alt. but I would look at the (j c whitney.com) catalog and see if they have a 12 volyt conversion kit to be on the safe side , you will have to change all lamps to.I would get the kit, play it safe,you do not want to run 12 volts threw the wire harness and burn it all up. I'm not up on that to be right on telling you and I do not want for you to burn up your wires  ok
