Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1972 chevelle, 72 chevelle, solenoid

Question
Hello. I have a 72 chevelle and when I go to turn the key to attempt to start the car, all you here is just a clicking sound and that's it. What do you think is wrong with it? I think it might be the starter but I recently got a new one; however, my buddy took it off and I don't know how to connect it back as it was. I thought I had an idea but right now, it doesn't seem right. If you can help out, that would be great! Thanks

Answer
Mike;
Hi well it could be the starter , or the battery, or bad connection at the battery or other ends. as far as the starter  just un do the pos. term at the batt. than on the starter the wires are  different sizes  so if you look at the ends one is larger , so put the larger wire on the larger post that comes out of the solenoid, than the other wire to the smaller post .
