Classic/Antique Car Repair: 63 Galaxie brakes, dual piston, fred flintstone

Question
Hello, Michael;
I know you're not a Ford expert, but Dick apparently is on vacation. Here I go anyway.
I have a 63 Galaxie. The original master cylinder is a single piston; when it fails, all wheels fail. Some restorers use a 67 full size Ford dual piston master cylinder. Sure enough, it bolts right in.
I've discovered that a proportioning valve is required. After much research, I've found a NOS Ford part valve. It cost 3 times what the master cylinder cost! I'll need to recut some of the brake lines to make everything fit.
Can you think of any other 'surprises' that I may come across????
Thanks for your help,
Ben

Answer
Ben,

Well at least you did some research:) Sorry on this one, all I know is its all what I call CUSTOM FAB, it seems to be my life story anymore as these cars get older and I also try and update them... like brakes. (it was ok when all the cars were on level playing field...everyone needed 500 miles to stop)

Fred Flintstone feet just dont get it.

Good luck

Mike
