Classic/Antique Car Repair: Changing the oil on a 62 straight 6 chevy fleetwood pick up, chevy pickup, oil filters

Hello! I just purchased a 62 chevy pickup with a straight 6 and discoverd
there is no filter (as I know oil filters) instead it has the canister system from
the old days. I peered into the canister and noticed somekind of coil in there.
So my question is how do I change the oil on this truck? Is there a filter in
there of some sort? Do they still make whatever it is i change, when changing
the oil?

Hi- well first off drain out the oil than remove the canister and was it with some solvent. than you will get a new filter that will drop into the canister than you will put the canister back in if it comes with a new copper washer use it.  and I would use a good brand 30wt oil. and add a can of  STP..  ok
