Classic/Antique Car Repair: 53 f100 Ford Truck Postive ground, volt coil, f100 ford

on a 6 volt coil which side of the coil goes to the distributor. positive or negative.This is a positive ground.

Hi well if it is a pos.+ ground. the - neg.and to a r.p.m. gauge too/ should go to the dist.P.S. if you are not sure  have a friend start the  truck and than you can hold the wire with a pair of insulated pliers to the (-) on the coil and if it starts w/o no trouble than thats good , but if any trouble you can remove the wire fast. so you cause no damage. this is for safety purposes
