Classic/Antique Car Repair: 350 AUTO TRANS, drive shaft, 4speed

WONT TO CHANGE MY 350 AUTO AND  PUT A 700 4SPEED/OVERDRIVE IN MY 1977 CORVETTE, 350, WILL IT FIT AND HOW MUCH HAS TO BE CHANGED? THANKS CM SIGMON

Hi-Well you will have a bit of work to do that. You will have to get-a bell housing, a flywheel,pressure plate,throw out bearing,fork,tranny,shifter (hurst) drive shaft  yoke change, than the fun part- You will have to get a set of peddles for the clutch and have the arm welded to the frame. and set up all of the linkage. and a new starter might be needed.The job is not real hard but a bit of time and welding is needed. and you will also have to get a new console if you wish it to look stock.
