Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1986 Monte Carlo wont start, chevy monte carlo, cold morning

Question
I have a 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo 305 V8. The car always started since i bought it two months ago. Lately its been having problems staying on once its started. I was starting the car on a very cold morning and it cranked up but when i released my foot off the gas it cut off. I attempted to crank it again but it wouldn't turn over and haven't since then.

Hi  well the proper way to check is to have a OBD2 meter put on it so it will show a code that will tell you the problem, but You said when it was cold, I wonder if it is the fuel - I would get 2 cans of dry gas and add it to the fuel tank. You say it will not even turn over, well I bet the battery is bad , You can have it charged but I would have it checked. If the battery is bad you will get nothing or a klick klick.  I would go to the place where You bought it from  if you have a warranty with it ?.
