Steering Column Repair: Recent column repairs, signal switch, wire connector

QUESTION: Recently i pulled out the signalswitch. Replaced the signal switch and at that time had to thread the wiring harness through the column with wire and then after that now truck won't start. Not even a click of the starter. bought a new battery and still won't turn over. The lights on  all the gauges are working fine. Can you help me?

I don't think your truck has any antitheft system (black chip on the key), so we are looking at an ignition circuit problem.  

The most common problem is for those with a standard shift, which means you have a clutch switch.  Often, when working on a column, the 2 wire connector to the clutch switch gets knocked off and won't let the starter engage, but everything else looks and works fine.  Check for that.  It's near the pedal pivot, to the left of the column.
If you have an automatic, the neutral start switch is mounted to the top of the column near the floor.  A knocked off connector there will produce the same result as above.  Check that if you have an automatic.  I am enclosing a picture of that switch, but I do not have one for a standard.
