Classic/Antique Car Repair: Mounting Alternator on 1966 Chevy Impala, chevy impala, 1966 chevy impala

Question
I have a 1966 Chevy Impala, 283 V8. I'm having trouble getting the correct mounting position of the Alternator, which mounts to the Exhaust Manifold on the drivers side with a short waterpump. I continue to loose belts. It's a all original car. I'm afraid I'm missing a lower mount that my not have come with the car. Any photos I can look at to see how this thing mounts correctly? Thanks

HI, Sorry I have no clips, you might get them at the local library or book store and you can xrox them there, but I think that you might be missing some spacers on the alt. as far as I remember the top arm is just for thr adj. and to tighten it down and the lower holdes in into place, so there should be some type of a washer or shim to bring it out to the size of the other belts pullys, can you use some extra washers to make it go out a bit so the belt will not get spun off. yyou can use up to 1/2 inch of washers or so if need be.  ok
