Classic/Antique Car Repair: FREEZE PLUGS TO SEAL OR NOT TO SEAL, 289 ford, mustang engine

Question
Hi Roger

QUESTION(S)

I'm rebuilding my 289 Ford Mustang engine. I'm new at this (first time)

I have 8 freeze plug to install.
DO I SEAL 'EM WITH SEALANT OR JUST BANG 'EM IN WITHOUT SEALANT.
P.S. A guy suggested i use this sealant called;
" THE RIGHT STUFF " to put a little bit on the inside rim of the freezer plug hole and a little bit on the plugs and than bang 'em in.

WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO ROGER?

THANK YOU
GOD BLESS

Answer
RAY;
 HI  You can use sealant if you wish , I would , but first make shure that the hole area is nice and clean first  and  some sealant on the both  items-the hole and the plug like you said.if you place the plugs in the freezer over night they will go in a  bit easyer....>> ok
