Classic/Antique Car Repair: 76 chevy nova, chevy nova, gas filter

Hi Roger, I have a 76 Chevy Nova  5.0/305 I changed the spark plugs, the rotors,the distributor cap and the spark plug cables. When I put the car into gear with my foot on the brake the car feels like it is going to stall and it runs very rough. I have a voltage gage which normally reads 14 volts that drops to 12 volts and I feel a loss of power . What do you think it could be? Thanks Tom

 Hea- well if it  was fine prior to the plugs and wires than it must be them, did you gap all of the plugs..035 and did you check to see if the points and cond. were good, cap ? etc. I would re check the points and cap and the carb. might need a adj. also and how about the gas filter....
